Kuala Lumpur, October 8, 2004 - FedEx
Express (FedEx), the world's largest express transportation company, in
conjunction with MixFM, have launched a new radio contest designed to
test the station listeners' ability to solve some rather 'cryptic
clues'.
The contest, called 'MixFM Cryptic Clues' will have the station's
popular DJ's, Asha and Non challenging listeners to decipher a daily
cryptic clue. The clues will generally be associated with the artist of
the song played shortly before the clue is posed to listeners.
Listeners will then be invited to call in and solve the cryptic clue
for a chance to win prizes from FedEx. An example of the type of
cryptic clue listeners can expect would be: Cryptic Clue - a wildcat
with a hearing problem; Answer – Def Leppard.
The contest will run on MixFM through to December 31, 2004, Monday
through Friday at 4:00pm during the Mix Drive Home, with a total of 65
prizes up for grabs. Prizes include FedEx model planes and shopping
vouchers worth RM100 for one clever winner every day during the
contest. FedEx will send one of their fast reliable couriers out to
deliver prizes to winners on a daily basis.
The contest runs in conjunction with FedEx's TV commercials, recently
launched and playing in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, the
Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. The ad's storyline
demonstrates FedEx's legendary teamwork and dedication when a customer
calls in the FedEx team for help with an urgent, but challenging
package. Amid the chaos created by this "difficult" package, the FedEx
team works together to find a solution, capturing the package and
ensuring its delivery.
